Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates seeks a Lead Field Engineer-Mechanical & Piping to support a multi-year construction project at the Savannah River Site. You will provide field engineering for process piping, firewater, service water, welding, and related mechanical construction activities.

The role requires strong ability to interpret P&IDs and drawings, coordinate RFIs and field changes, and ensure alignment with codes and standards.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of field or construction engineering experience.
Experience with process piping, firewater, service water, or similar mechanical construction.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, piping isometrics, and mechanical drawings.
Knowledge of piping and welding codes and construction standards.
Experience coordinating Engineering, Construction and Quality issues.

Responsibilities

Provide field engineering support for process piping, firewater, service water, welding, and related mechanical construction activities.
Review drawings, specifications, procedures, work packages, P&IDs, piping isometrics, and other technical documents to support field construction.
Coordinate RFIs, field changes, technical questions, and resolution of construction issues with Engineering, Construction, and Quality.
Verify current approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and technical requirements are available for construction activities.
Support hydrostatic testing, pressure testing, flushing, and turnover activities.
Maintain field engineering documentation, redlines, and field changes.
