Job summary
The Tarrant Regional Water District is seeking an Anode Crew Member to assist full-time staff with data collection and maintaining the cathodic protection system. The role involves fieldwork on pipelines, vegetation maintenance, structure inspection and repair, and routine manual labor as part of a dedicated team.
Responsibilities include installing zinc anodes, monitoring test stations, operating various heavy equipment, and supporting other departments.
Qualifications
- Understanding of hydraulics on pipelines and cathodic protection principles.
- Ability to read and comprehend map books and schematics.
- Experience with weed eaters and standard mowers preferred.
- Capable of lifting up to 80 pounds and outdoor field work.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor, and install zinc anodes and cathodic protection measures in the field.
- Assist data collection and modify the cathodic protection system.
- Operate and trailer equipment; perform vegetation maintenance and pipeline upkeep.
- Paint fences, perform maintenance on structures and grounds; support operations teams.
- May supervise day laborers and adapt to varied tasks as required.
