Job summary

COUNTRY Financial is seeking a Catastrophe Claims Consultant to serve as a first responder and member of a dedicated catastrophe claims team. This role requires extensive travel, with a 10-day-on, 4-day-off schedule and deployment to various nationwide locations, including the St.

Louis, MO area. Expect on-call duties and potential extended periods away from home, supporting both personal and commercial lines claims.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license with the ability to drive an automobile.
• Part 107 drone license required for roof inspections. License must be obtained within 5 months of start date; must pass exam within 3 attempts.
• Work is split approximately (up to) 90% field and 10% office, contingent upon assigned claim type(s).
• Must have the physical dexterity to walk, reach, climb, and crawl to inspect damage, sometimes in inclement weather.
• The ability to lift, carry, and climb ladders weighing up to 80 pounds may be required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to deployment directives and travels to catastrophe areas to evaluate, negotiate, and settle personal and commercial lines property claims.
• Investigates and completes physical inspections of property claims, evaluates damages, and prepares written estimates.
• Initiates first contact with insureds and relevant parties to gather information and explain the claims process.
