Job summary

WashU Car Wash, LLC is looking for a Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, functionality and safety of car wash equipment and facilities across the Chicagoland area. This is a field-based, hands-on role with travel between locations in a company-provided vehicle.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing and pneumatic systems, replace worn components and document work to keep equipment running reliably.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment maintenance and repair.
• Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work weekends and travel between locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs on car wash equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic equipment.
• Inspect equipment and identify potential issues before they cause downtime.
• Assist with equipment repairs, installations, and replacement of components.
• Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance and repairs.
• Keep inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies.
