Job summary

Core Laboratories LP in Texas is seeking a Calibration Technician to assist lead calibrators with field measurements of bulk liquid storage tanks and barges. You will gather and record data to support development of volumetric capacity tables for the petrochemical industry, and you should be comfortable with overnight travel across the United States.

The role requires climbing structures, entering confined spaces, and strict adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of related field experience preferred.
• Experience with measuring equipment is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate (strap) upright cylindrical tanks, horizontal tanks, spheres, trucks, barges, and ships per API standards.
• Perform pipeline surveys.
• Check measuring equipment for accuracy.
• Visually inspect equipment for defects.
• Record all measurements on field reports.
• Coordinate with customers for scheduling.
• Follow safety requirements per company manuals and training.
• Overnight travel across the U.S. as needed.
