Job summary

AT&T in Raleigh, NC seeks a Machine Operator to install and maintain buried service wires and support networks. You will work with field teams on locating facilities, operating equipment, and performing repairs under safety standards.

Expect to handle heavy materials, use computers for status updates, and meet a 40‑hour week with overtime and holidays as needed. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid light commercial driver’s license (or equivalent) depending on state law.
• Be able to drive manual shift in some assignments.
• DOT medical card required.
• Desire to work Monday–Friday with 8‑hour shifts.
• Willing to work overtime and holidays as service conditions require.

Responsibilities

• Locate buried facilities near the route of service wire and operate a company vehicle.
• Locate buried facilities near the route of buried wire and equipment.
• Perform manual excavation using a shovel.
• Provide repairs to low voltage buried utilities or sprinklers and perform temporary repairs.
• Perform periodic maintenance and non‑complex repairs on equipment.
• Read and interpret simple instructions.
• Follow safety procedures and manufacturer specs for equipment.
