Job summary

ECS Group seeks Building Science + Infrastructure Technicians to perform field tests and observations on projects across diverse sites in Texas. You will work in the field and support report preparation, with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and client service.

The role involves calibrating field equipment, maintaining gear, and collaborating with project teams. A valid driver’s license and physical stamina are required to handle outdoor work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant technical degree preferred.
• 0–2 years of related experience; driving license required if operating company vehicles.
• Certifications such as NRCA/IIBEC/AWCI/ICC are preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift 40 lb repeatedly and work at heights in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform field tests and observations on building science projects.
• Document results clearly in reports and communicate with teams.
• Calibrate and use field equipment; maintain and organize gear.
• Attend project meetings and support project managers as needed.
• Support clerical tasks and other lab/office duties as required.
• Safely navigate outdoor environments and diverse terrains.
