Job summary

4LEAF, Inc. is seeking qualified building inspectors to perform technical inspections across Merced, Stanislaus, and San Joaquin Counties in California. Inspectors must review plans, enforce building codes, and communicate complex issues to contractors and property owners.

Three to five years of inspection experience and ICC/DSA/OSHPD/CASp certifications are highly valued. Applicants should hold a California driver’s license, be able to read plans, and work on the road with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years of experience as a Building Inspector.
• Certifications ICC, DSA, OSHPD and CASp highly desired.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and local building laws and codes.
• Ability to read and interpret building plans and codes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect new and existing buildings for code compliance with IBC editions.
• Explain complex building issues to contractors, designers, and owners.
• Answer field questions and provide information on code requirements.
• Prepare correction notices and inspection reports with clear conclusions.
• Analyze plans and building codes and apply sound judgment in enforcement.
