Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; active Building Inspector License.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and ability to travel to job sites.
• ICC or equivalent certifications in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or plans examination preferred or willing to obtain within timeframe.
• Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes; commitment to ongoing learning.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Field Data Collection software.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze blueprints and construction plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied conditions; travel flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety protocols and job site regulations, including OSHA, PPE, and client standards.
• Perform Structural Building Inspection duties (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) as licensed.
• Document and report inspection findings with observations, diagrams, photos, and recommendations.
• Identify code violations and provide corrective-action guidance to contractors and project teams.
• Perform follow-up inspections to verify corrective actions.
• Review plans, blueprints, permits, and reports for compliance with designs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain clear communication with field supervisors and dispatching teams.
• Assist in reviewing permit applications and project documentation.
• Stay updated with building codes and safety regulations; participate in training and certification.
• Travel to project sites; operate company vehicle; support varying schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet project goals.
