Job summary

Specialty Inspectors, LLC is seeking a Licensed Building Code Inspector to conduct inspections for building construction projects to confirm compliance with Florida Building Code and other regulatory requirements. This field role requires reviewing plans, interpreting codes, and performing on-site inspections across designated areas.

The candidate should read blueprints, understand construction methods, work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver accurate reports while meeting

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years construction-related experience.
• OSHA 10- or 30-hour cert or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Florida Plan Review License (PX) or Florida Inspector License (BN) or PE License (MEP) or ICC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspects buildings for compliance with Florida Building Code and related regulations.
• Meet with design professionals, contractors, and stakeholders to discuss code issues.
• Coordinate with Operations for inspection status and pass/fail results to clients.
• Prepare and maintain all required inspection records and reports.
• Establish daily inspection schedules and travel within assigned area.
