Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Mobile Building Engineer I to maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems across multiple portfolio properties. You will travel between sites, perform inspections, respond to emergencies, and mentor junior technicians while following OSHA and safety protocols.

The role requires 2–3 years related experience, a valid driver's license, and ideally CFC certification, with proficiency in BAS energy management and MS Outlook.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of job-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• Valid state driver’s license required; licenses per local/state/national requirements.
• CFC Certification preferred.
• Developing advanced proficiency in HVAC troubleshooting and energy management systems; experience with BAS operation across multiple properties.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook and work-order/email/training platforms.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds; able to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks across multiple properties, including plumbing repairs, basic electrical work, and HVAC troubleshooting.
• Conduct property inspections, including lighting audits, roof inspections, and parking lot checks.
• Address unscheduled maintenance calls, such as plumbing emergencies, HVAC issues, and tenant comfort requests.
• Maintain inspection records for building equipment and report abnormalities to supervisors.
• Monitor service contractors for outsourced repairs and maintenance.
• Use company vehicles to travel between sites to perform repairs and inspections.
• Develop advanced proficiency in HVAC troubleshooting and energy management systems; gain experience with BAS operation across multiple properties.
• Follow company safety protocols and use PPE for all tasks; ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFC, and NFPA regulations; report hazards immediately and participate in safety audits.
• participates in on-call rotations to respond to emergencies across properties, including severe weather, equipment failures, and power outages.
• Mentor junior mobile technicians to enhance their skills; collaborate with engineers to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
