Job summary

NineStar Connect is seeking a highly motivated Installation & Repair Technician to join our growing team in Central Indiana. You will install and maintain essential broadband, security, and voice services for homes and businesses, with access to training and advancement opportunities in a bargaining unit role.

You will work with fiber and copper networks, perform testing and device programming, and document all work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent + 4 years of combined experience and/or education in communications, telephone, or data systems.
• Certifications: Network+ and BICSI Technician (TECH)

Responsibilities

• Install and repair broadband, security, access control, wireless, key systems (phone systems), and voice services for residential and business customers.
• Use fiber and copper infrastructure to set up and maintain systems, test equipment, and program devices.
• Troubleshoot service issues, wiring problems, faulty equipment, and network disruptions.
• Provide product training to customers on installed services.
• Complete service documentation including work orders, reports, billing, and timesheets.
• Maintain a clean and stocked service vehicle and ensure proper use of company tools and equipment.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for repair and emergency service.
• Operate company vehicles, including a bucket truck, and follow safety protocols for ladders and fall protection.
