Job summary

Philips is seeking a Field Biomedical Equipment Technician to support the Long Island, NY area. You will install, troubleshoot, service and maintain medical equipment at customer sites, ensuring timely resolutions and strong customer relationships.

The role includes PMs, FCOs, installations, and administrative duties within Philips regulatory requirements. Office presence is expected; travel to customer sites is involved with a 8AM-5PM shift, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a medical service environment or 3+ years in other electromechanical industries.
• Ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose and repair equipment.
• Associate degree in electronics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to perform in a hospital/healthcare environment and flexible hours as needed.
• Must wear required PPE and work safely in potentially radiation-related contexts.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, field change orders, installations, and related tasks independently.
• Diagnose and resolve electronic, network, and mechanical issues using manuals, training, and tools.
• Provide exceptional customer service by meeting commitments and understanding customer priorities.
• Participate on the onsite work team and pursue opportunities to improve processes and training.
• Complete administrative duties including timesheets, service orders, FCOs, PMs, installation docs, and site records.
