Job summary

Nutramax Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Field Based Veterinarian for the Northeast region. The role covers NY, CT, VT, NH, MA, ME, OH, and MI with up to 60% travel.

The ideal candidate resides near a major airport and will deliver technical expertise to veterinarians, universities, and pet owners. Responsibilities include providing training, lectures, and materials; coordinating visits to veterinary schools; and supporting the Professional Services Team with product information.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD required.
• Minimum of 3 years of in-clinic veterinary experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of veterinary industry experience preferred.
• Must possess strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Travel 50–60% is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical expertise for Nutramax product lines with veterinary professionals and sales/distributor teams.
• Provide group and individual product training, professional development lectures, and lunch-and-learns.
• Attend industry conferences to present literature and materials and assist sales at booths.
• Schedule visits to veterinary schools to meet instructors and set up educational sessions.
• Develop support materials for new and existing products as needed by the Professional Services Team.
• Provide technical support to veterinarians and pet owners who contact Nutramax with questions.

The Field Based Veterinarian will primarily cover the Northeast District which includes: New York, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, Ohio, and Michigan. This position will require up to 60% travel. Our ideal candidate would be living in close proximity to a major airport.

Summary of the Position:

Coordinate and deliver technical expertise to the organization, sales representatives, distributor representatives and Veterinarians regarding all Nutramax product lines. Maintain a high level of technical communication to veterinary professionals, universities, and pet owners.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Using RACE certification: administer the AAVSB, RACE program. Obtain CE approval for company sponsored meetings/lectures as well as KOLs.
• Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment.
• Effectively communicate and interact with Key Opinion Leaders in the veterinary community.
• Provide sales support by providing group and individualized product training, professional development lectures and lunch and learns.
• Schedule visits to assigned veterinary schools to meet with instructors/pharmacy leads as well as to set up educational presentations for the students.
• Assist with the development of support materials for new and/or existing products as deemed necessary by the Professional Services Team.
• Attend industry conferences to monitor lectures, provide appropriate literature and materials to the speakers in attendance and assist sales with training at the booth.
• Provide technical support to veterinarians and/or pet owners who directly contact Nutramax with product questions.
• Provide professional support for AER’s and may be called upon to communicate directly with veterinarian of record and/or pet owner.
• Provide product training and technical information.
• Perform other assigned duties and follow verbal and written instructions issued by Supervisor(s)/management to meet company goals and objectives.
• Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment.
• Regular attendance is required.

Education: DVM or VMD required

Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years of in-clinic veterinary experience
• Minimum of 2 years of veterinary industry experience preferred
• Work closely field sales team and field sales management team
• Operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Must possess strong organizational and leadership skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft office (excel and powerpoint
