Job summary

Clear Path Utility Solutions seeks a Utility Forester to inspect, evaluate, and manage vegetation along utility ROWs, ensuring safety, compliance, and reliability. The role requires strong forestry skills, GIS proficiency, and contractor coordination in a field-heavy environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Arboriculture, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Horticulture, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in utility vegetation management, utility line clearance, forestry, arboriculture, or related vegetation management operations.
• Experience conducting traditional forestry practices, tree risk assessments, vegetation inspections, or ROW management activities preferred.
• Extensive industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess vegetation within utility ROW to ensure reliability and safety.
• Classify and prescribe vegetation management actions per client specs and standards (ISA pruning, ANSI line‑clearance).
• Evaluate tree health, risk, and growth to inform recommendations.
• Coordinate with contractors, landowners, and regulatory agencies to plan and execute work.
• Prepare maps, patrol routes, and field records; ensure data accuracy and reporting compliance.
