Job summary

OneEnergy in the Midwest seeks an experienced Lead O&M Technician to oversee portfolio-level operations, safety, maintenance, and quality control across solar projects.

You will collaborate with engineers, field staff, and subcontractors, provide advanced commissioning and troubleshooting, and help drive continuous improvement in field practices and project performance.

The role requires 25–50% travel, hands-on leadership, and a proactive, 'roll up your sleeves' attitude.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Solar O&M, construction and/or technical project experience.
• OHSA-30 Certification preferred, but not required.
• Demonstrated track record of success in solar energy or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide portfolio level oversight to the O&M team responsible for day-to-day operations oversight on solar projects in a region.
• Engage with on-site contractors and project stakeholders as OneEnergy’s primary project contact.
• Support development and enforcement of best practices for safety, quality, and subcontractor management.
• Provide leadership and oversight of the O&M team, ensuring accountability, quality and safety on projects.
• Review construction/operational requirements and suggest improvements to OneEnergy standards and procedures.
