Job summary

The Harris Center for Mental Health and ID is seeking a Service Coordinator Mentor to empower service coordinators in delivering high‑quality care to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Under the Program Director, the SC Mentor mentors, trains, and supports coordinators in planning, problem solving, and feedback, with travel to consumer homes and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a social, behavioral, or human service field required.
• Two years in human services or IDD-related coordination preferred.
• Valid Texas driver's license and insurable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Orient service coordinators with service coordination functions and activities.
• Provide ongoing mentorship and field training sessions for coordinators.
• Develop and update mentorship training manuals as needed.
• Assist with time management and organizational skills to meet benchmarks.
• Document mentorship training progress weekly for the Program Director.
• Communicate feedback to the Program Director regarding progress or concerns.
