Job summary

Equinox Gold is hiring a Senior Project Coordinator to lead field execution on multi-facility projects in Nevada, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. The role focuses on directing contractors, coordinating with mine operations, and maintaining rigorous field documentation on ADR plant, heap leach pad, and related systems.

You will leverage your mining and heavy construction experience to oversee commissioning and capital projects while upholding MSHA standards and site safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering or equivalent field required.
• 10+ years of engineering or project execution experience in mining.
• 5+ years in project management, preferably large-scale capital projects.
• Experience overseeing multidisciplinary, heavy construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage field construction while ensuring safety and schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive issue resolution.
• Extensive field construction experience with health and safety.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and work on-site.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct continuous field walk-throughs to monitor contractor performance, ensuring work matches drawings and specifications.
• Verify construction quality for ADR plant, heap leach pad, solution systems, and facilities.
• Document daily field progress, quantities, and progress photos.
• Coordinate on-site with mine operations for equipment readiness and operator training.
• Assist in scoping and tracking small-scale capital projects and life-of-mine asset replacements.
• Track sustaining capital expenditures against budgets and verify quantities against invoices.
• Process contractor change orders and gather field data for scope adjustments.
• Manage submittal, RFI, and transmittal logs with latest revisions.
• Ensure contractors comply with MSHA standards and safety regulations.
• Perform daily field checks for containment around cyanide handling areas.
• Support weekly safety and environmental site walks and inspections.
