Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is seeking a Right of Way Agent in Minneapolis, MN to support pipeline and electric transmission projects. The role involves land acquisition, licenses, leases, and permits for project needs.

This full-time, 12-month limited-term position requires negotiating with landowners, evaluating fair market values, and preparing legal documents. Extensive travel to remote sites is expected, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of ROW experience.
• Oil & Gas, diversified energy or electric transmission experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Earth, ArcGIS, and data management software.
• Knowledgeable in real estate values and appraisal practices.
• Valid driver’s license; able to work in remote locations for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct negotiations with landowners and designees.
• Assist in settling damage claims related to construction.
• Research records to determine ownership and interests.
• Assist establish fair market values for land acquisitions.
• Prepare documents for rights of entry, easements, leases, permits and options.
• Adhere to health and safety policies; perform other duties as needed.
