Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental sciences, engineering, planning, or other closely related field.
• Four years’ experience in water resources, environmental issues, or related field; budget management or grants experience preferred.
• Ability to use a PC with related software to perform essential functions.
• Washington State Driver’s License or accommodation.
• Certifications: Confined Space within first year.

Responsibilities

• Identify and inspect private stormwater facilities and sites subject to NPDES regulations and BMPs.
• Annually contact stormwater facility owners to inform maintenance and reporting responsibilities.
• Provide an annual report form and advise on available resources.
• Conduct annual inspections and condition assessments of residential stormwater facilities.
• Maintain databases and asset management software for inspections and attendees.
• Perform IDDE inspections and respond to spills.
• Be prepared to respond to emergencies and after-hours pager rotation.
