Job summary

Alignment Health in Merced/Stanislaus County, CA is seeking a proactive Field Remote Provider Engagement Specialist to support our growing provider network. This field-based remote role emphasizes relationship-building, quality improvement, and network expansion.

You will travel approximately 80% of the time, build strong relationships with physician practices, support performance metrics such as AWVs and HEDIS gaps, and coordinate onboarding, education, and credentialing with our team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two years in provider relations or related healthcare operations.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with providers and office staff.
• Improve performance in growth, retention, AWVs, HEDIS gaps, risk adjustment.
• Onboard providers and educate on Alignment Health tools and programs.
• Develop training materials and presentations.
• Serve as primary contact for UM, authorizations, claims, eligibility, data, and directory validation.
• Represent Alignment Health at meetings, trainings, and events.
• Support credentialing and recruitment efforts.
• Maintain engagement documentation and reports.
• Attend staff meetings and take on special projects.
