Job summary

SII Group USA is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Technician/Engineer to support testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of electrical power and control systems for mission-critical projects. The role is hands-on, field-based, and focuses on PLC/Controls and protection relays.

Ideal candidates bring experience in electrical commissioning, power systems, substations, or data-center environments, with strong PLC/Controls expertise and capability to work on-site in Dallas, Temple,

Qualifications

Hands-on commissioning, startup, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical power and control systems.
Experience with PLCs, protection relays, and field devices in mission-critical environments.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation.

Responsibilities

Perform hands-on commissioning, startup, functional testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems.
Program, test, troubleshoot, and commission PLC-based control systems.
Perform I/O checkout, logic verification, interlock testing, and control-sequence validation.
Configure, test, and troubleshoot protection relays and associated circuits.
Conduct secondary-injection relay testing using Omicron, Megger, or equivalent equipment.
Commission MV/LV switchgear, breakers, panels, transformers, and related systems.
