As part of our continued growth in North America, we are seeking Electrical Commissioning Technicians to support a major hyperscale Data Center program in Dallas, Texas.
Position Summary
The Electrical Commissioning Technician will support the testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and energization of mission-critical electrical infrastructure supporting Data Center operations.
This is a hands-on field role requiring daily on-site presence in Dallas, Texas. The successful candidate will work closely with construction teams, equipment vendors, commissioning specialists, engineering teams, and end customers to support the safe and successful delivery of commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform commissioning and startup activities for MV/LV electrical systems in accordance with approved procedures and project requirements.
- Perform functional testing of electrical distribution equipment and associated control systems.
- Conduct protection relay testing, validation, and troubleshooting using appropriate test equipment.
- Support electrical system energization and turnover activities.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, schematics, and control logic documentation.
- Troubleshoot electrical and automation systems during commissioning activities.
- Prepare commissioning reports, test records, punch lists, and related technical documentation.
- Coordinate field activities with contractors, vendors, engineering teams, commissioning specialists, and customer representatives.
- Follow all site safety requirements, electrical safety practices, and commissioning procedures.
- Identify and communicate equipment, installation, or system issues encountered during testing and commissioning.

Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical commissioning, testing, controls, electrical maintenance, or power systems.
- Strong working knowledge of MV/LV power distribution systems and electrical protection schemes.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control logic drawings.
- Hands-on experience with electrical testing, troubleshooting, commissioning equipment, and field instrumentation.
- Experience in Data Centers, substations, industrial facilities, power generation, or other mission-critical environments is highly preferred.
- OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred.
- NETA, NICET, or equivalent technical/commissioning certifications are considered a plus.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and field execution.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Dallas, Texas.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required during testing, energization, and critical commissioning activities.
