County of San Mateo Health invites applications for the Medical Services Assistant II (MSAII) in Public Health Clinics. The role will operate across county mobile and fixed clinics, focusing on vulnerable populations, and including immunizations, vital signs, and patient education. A valid Medical Assistant certificate and BLS/CPR may be required.

The position emphasizes travel, driving a sprinter van, and flexible hours to cover clinics from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Formación

• One year of outpatient clinic or doctor's office experience as a nurse's assistant or medical assistant.
• Possession of a Medical Assistant Certificate or equivalent from an accredited program.
• BLS/CPR certification may be required for some positions.

Responsabilidades

• Rooming patients and taking vital signs.
• Maintaining inventory and ordering supplies.
• Assisting providers with procedures and field-based lab draws.
• Administering immunizations and other medications as approved.
• Documenting information into electronic medical records.
• Providing patient education and supporting transportation duties as needed.
