Job summary

Sabine Surveyors, Ltd. in the New Orleans, LA area seeks a Staff Surveyor/Auditor (Compliance) to perform marine surveys and audits in the field under direction from the Area Manager.

You will generate accurate reports in line with company templates and keep clients informed throughout the process. The successful candidate will have five years of relevant marine surveying experience or a maritime education background, strong writing and communication skills, and hold a TWIC and a valid driver's

Qualifications

• College degree or maritime college experience with five years in marine surveying or equivalent.
• NAMSGlobal membership preferred but not required.
• Report and technical writing skills will be considered.
• Current valid driver's license and TWIC credential required.

Responsibilities

• Perform marine surveys and/or audits in the field as directed by Area Manager or VP.
• Ensure timely information flow to/from clients during survey/audit process.
• Produce concise survey/audit reports using company templates.
• Assist Area Manager with handling customer complaints and invoice adjustments.
• Promote Sabine Surveyors services to clients and industry contacts.
• Adhere to Health, Safety, Security & Environmental procedures and training.
• Coordinate onboarding of junior personnel and share knowledge.
• Ensure PPE and equipment calibration records are maintained.
