Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a field-based General Maintenance Technician to support maintenance across assigned stores. You will respond in person to resolve tickets and perform preventative maintenance to extend the life of coolers, freezers, and equipment.

You will travel to store locations within the district, work with store leadership, document work in CMMS, and train leaders on best practices. Occasional after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or applicable experience.
• Active Driver’s License required.
• Willingness to travel up to 100%.
• Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Dollar General sites within the district to address maintenance concerns and proactive maintenance needs.
• Troubleshoot, collect and verify asset information for on-site service projects, guiding leadership on solutions.
• Support entry-level maintenance, including light exterior grounds tasks and safety equipment checks.
• Document tickets and resolve within designated time frames; communicate status to partners.
