Job summary

ERM is hiring Land Agents to support pipeline and electric transmission projects across Indiana, Iowa and Illinois. The role focuses on acquiring land rights, licenses, leases and permits for project facilities in a field-based, full-time position lasting about 2.5 months with potential extension.

Primary duties include negotiating with landowners, resolving damage claims, researching ownership records and drafting entry rights documents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 3–5 years ROW experience.
• Oil & Gas or diversified energy experience preferred.
• Notary license preferred.
• Real estate license preferred.
• Solid working knowledge of PCs, Microsoft Office, Google Earth, ArcGIS and data management software.
• Knowledgeable in real estate values and appraisal practices.
• Ability to work in remote locations for long periods.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism.
• Must meet criteria identified in Job Demands & Conditions Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct negotiations with landowners or designees.
• Settle damage claims related to construction.
• Search records to determine ownership and interests.
• Advise on fair market values for land acquisition.
• Prepare documents for entry rights, damages, contracts, easements, licenses, leases and permits.
• Comply with health and safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
