Job summary

Maryland Nonprofits seeks an Infant Toddler Specialist (Coach & Trainer) to provide field-based coaching and professional development to licensed programs serving birth to age three. You will collaborate with family child care providers, centers, Early Head Start, and partners to strengthen quality through evidence-based coaching practices.

You will support Maryland EXCELS, accreditation, and state/local initiatives, maintain a caseload, and deliver trainings while traveling across Baltimore

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, education, or related field.
• Courses in Child Development and Infant/Toddler Curriculum/Methods completed.
• Experience coaching and providing professional development to early childhood educators.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized coaching and technical assistance to licensed programs.
• Conduct on-site and virtual coaching visits, observations, and reflective conversations.
• Support programs in responsive caregiving, social-emotional development, and learning environments.
• Guide Maryland EXCELS participation, accreditation, and licensing adherence.
• Develop Quality Improvement Plans and professional development goals with programs.
• Deliver professional development workshops and Communities of Practice.
• Promote use of national infant/toddler practices and quality frameworks.
• Maintain documentation of coaching activities and outcomes in reporting systems.
• Collaborate with child care providers, families, and community partners.
