Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes and clinical settings. You will educate patients and caregivers on safe use, troubleshooting, and ongoing care to ensure comfort, safety and independence.

In this role, you will perform routine maintenance, handle documentation, and participate in on-call rotations, with a focus on HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

Customer service experience in field-based delivery or healthcare is preferred.
Experience working with patients or caregivers.
Ability to educate patients on equipment use and safety.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
Respond to patient equipment issues, including during emergencies when required.
Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment per policies.
