Job summary

Montgomery County, PA seeks a para-professional social service support worker to assist Casework staff in delivering family-oriented services. The role involves extensive field travel within Montgomery County and occasions in out-of-county travel, with supervision of clients at sites and during appointments.

The candidate should have a related degree or equivalent experience, possess a PA driver’s license, and be able to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and children.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in human services or related field with 1 year experience, or high school diploma with 3 years public contact experience.
• Pennsylvania residency is a requirement for this position.
• Must have automobile and PA driver’s license; reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Transport clients and materials to sites throughout Montgomery County.
• Supervise clients during necessary activities and accompany children at appointment sites.
• Provide family-oriented social services and parent education as needed.
• Conduct evaluation of client families through observation of parents and home care.
• Assist Caseworker with duties related to caseload goals and objectives.
• Transports children to and from school from foster homes when needed.
• Maintain client observation and case-related documentation in OCY system.
