Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of experience as a Caseworker Trainee or equivalent program.
• Bachelor’s degree or related coursework in social services or a closely related field.
• Must pass Child Abuse, Criminal History, and FBI Clearances; PA residency not required.

Responsibilities

• Professional assessment of child risk, safety and family strengths.
• Emergency response and in-home protective services for at-risk children.
• Caseload and case records management to promote child safety and family stability.
• Permanency planning and petitions to establish permanency options; reunification efforts.
• Maintain documentation via automated case management system.
• Provide mandated social services in compliance with laws and county policy.
• Coordinate with community resources and agencies; monitor progress toward goals.
• Initiate court proceedings when necessary and assist in case preparation.
