Job summary

Curriculum Associates is seeking a Professional Learning Specialist to lead targeted professional development in ELA/Reading, provide in-classroom support, and analyze data to drive instruction for K–8 students.

You will collaborate with district and site leaders, teachers, and our Sales team to implement Ready and i-Ready across districts, ensuring equity and strong learning outcomes. Willingness to travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in teaching ELA or Reading, coaching ELA/Reading, or providing ELA/Reading professional development learning.
• A Master's degree in ELA or Reading is preferred.
• Fluency using digital tools including online assessments and data discussion with teachers and leaders.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and how to apply them to professional learning.
• Ability to manage, monitor, evaluate, and ensure integrity of program implementations.
• Willingness to travel within designated territory as well as to company meetings several times a year (when safe).
• Strong working knowledge of State Standards for ELA/Reading for Grades K-8, including content and practice standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted professional development to teachers, coaches, and district leaders.
• Offer ongoing in-classroom support and data-driven guidance.
• Analyze data and help apply it to instructional planning.
• Develop and revise annual professional learning plans with district leaders.
• Collaborate with Sales, teachers, students, and school districts in day-to-day interactions.
• Lead district-wide adoptions and implementation of Curriculum Associates products.
• Contribute as a thought leader and stay current with company-provided educational conferences.
