Job summary

Curriculum Associates in Chicago, IL is seeking a Professional Learning Specialist to advance ELA/Reading professional development for K–8 educators. You will provide targeted on-site training, data-driven coaching, and collaboration with district and school leaders to support product implementation of Ready and i-Ready.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of teaching or coaching experience; a Master’s in ELA/Reading is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of teaching ELA/Reading or coaching.
• Master’s degree in ELA/Reading preferred.
• Fluency with digital tools including online assessments and data discussion.
• Understanding of adult learning principles.
• Ability to manage, monitor, evaluate, and ensure integrity of implementations.
• Ability to provide high-quality classroom coaching to deliver CA solutions.
• Willingness to travel within designated territory and to company meetings several times per year.
• Knowledge of State Standards for ELA/Reading for Grades K–8.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted professional development and ongoing in-classroom support.
• Analyze data and manage daily project tasks.
• Coordinate with district and site leaders for product adoptions.
• Deliver on-site training to teachers, coaches, and leaders.
• Support district-wide adoption of Curriculum Associates products.
• Help ensure equity by implementing Ready and i-Ready effectively.
• Collaborate with district leaders to develop annual professional learning plans.
