Job summary

Volunteers of America South Central Louisiana seeks a Child Care Coach to support early care providers in the Baton Rouge area through on-site coaching and guidance.

The role focuses on implementing Early Learning Standards, Teaching Strategies GOLD, and CLASS assessments; requires a degree in early childhood education or CDA and 1–3 years of experience. The position is full-time, hybrid, with pay starting at $18/hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA credential.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in an early childhood setting.
• Knowledge of CLASS, Teaching Strategies GOLD, and Louisiana Early Learning standards.
• Knowledge about principles of adult learning.
• Louisiana Child Care Background Check clearance.
• Familiarity with community needs and resources.
• Microsoft Office software applications and Google Forms.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site coaching to Type III centers and registered family child care providers.
• Schedule and conduct visits to centers to promote best practices and sustained improvement.
• Coach on using Early Learning and Development Standards, TS GOLD, curriculum, and CLASS results.
• Develop and deliver training sessions and reports on visits to providers.
