Job summary

North Central Florida IT Consortium is seeking a Distributed Computer Systems Specialist to provide tier 1 and limited tier 2 support across an 11-county health department network in Gainesville, FL. The role installs and maintains distributed systems hardware, software, and communications components, troubleshoots issues, and requires frequent travel to multiple sites for on-site support.

Qualifications

Valid driver's license required.
Experience and knowledge of distributed processing operations.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
Effective communication and ability to provide user training.
Industry standard certifications preferred (CompTIA, Microsoft, Citrix).

Responsibilities

Provide tier 1 and limited tier 2 technical support to users across an 11-county health department consortium.
Install and maintain distributed systems hardware, software, and communications components.
Troubleshoot technical issues and perform on-site visits across multiple sites.
Assist the System Administrator with LAN/WAN support, workstation setup, help desk operations, and user training across the North Central Florida IT Consortium.
