Job summary

Florida Department of Health in Gainesville seeks a Distributed Computer Systems Specialist to support 11-county consortium, with travel to multiple sites for on-site and remote assistance. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot distributed systems hardware, software, and networks, and manage help desk tickets to ensure service reliability.

The role loads include liaison work with the System Administrator for LAN/WAN support and staff training, while maintaining security and compliance

Qualifications

Experience and knowledge of distributed processing operations.
Ability to process information logically and solve problems.
Preferred industry certifications: CompTIA, Microsoft, Citr.

Responsibilities

Provide tier 1 and some tier 2 support to CHD users across sites.
Install and upgrade distributed system hardware, software, and communications components.
Monitor hardware and software, troubleshoot using diagnostic tools.
Record and track help desk tickets and analyze recurring issues.
Travel to consortium CHD sites for on-site support, training, and installations.
Assist System Administrator with LAN/WAN support and documentation.
