Job summary

Innovative Dining Group is seeking a strategic, hospitality-driven Director of Learning & Development to lead our companywide training, leadership development, and service standards across our restaurant portfolio. The role oversees onboarding, new openings, and ongoing development, with regular travel to locations to ensure program effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in hospitality and training across multiple locations.
• Ability to translate culture and standards into practical training.
• Experience with onboarding, leadership development, and new openings.
• Strong project management, communication, and coaching skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly to restaurant locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead IDG’s company-wide training strategy for managers and hourly team members.
• Design, implement, and evaluate training programs based on business needs and gaps.
• Build and maintain training materials, SOPs, job aids, and checklists.
• Establish consistent training standards across locations.
• Develop and maintain IDG’s Trainer and Manager Certification Programs.
• Assess training effectiveness through field observation and performance data.
• Drive a culture of continuous learning across the organization.
• Develop and maintain hospitality standards with Operations.
• Translate culture and service expectations into practical programs.
• Provide coaching during visits and evaluate training execution.
• Identify hospitality gaps and design training solutions.
• Oversee onboarding and leadership development for new hires.
