Job summary

Bayer Crop Science seeks a motivated R&D Specialist III for the Field-Testing Team in Illinois. You will plan, coordinate and execute physiology field trials, collect data and supervise temporary staff while ensuring safety standards and data quality.

The role requires field-based research, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to obtain UAV and pesticide licenses; relocation is possible and travel is limited.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Crop Physiology, Agronomy, Plant Science, Biology or related fields.
• MS degree in Crop Physiology, Agronomy, Plant Science, Biology or related fields, with 1+ years of experience.
• Field-based research experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Willingness to obtain UAV license.
• Illinois pesticide license or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute field physiology experiments and trials.
• Data collection and sample collection for analyses.
• Supervision and training of temporary employees.
• Coordinate with Project Teams and other research sites for high-quality execution.
• Collaborate with Data Team for accurate and timely data delivery.
• Contribute to data quality control and operate specialized equipment.
• Driving a company vehicle as part of duties; mileage may be required.
