Job summary

Keystone Cooperative, Inc. seeks a Crop Technician Intern to support crop diagnostics and field data collection across growing season. You will scout fields, collect tissue samples, perform soil moisture probing, conduct UAV flights, and assist with field signs.

The role requires travel within the territory and a flexible schedule with weekly development activities. Enrolled in an accredited college or university, with an interest in agronomy; valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are

Qualifications

Agronomy students preferred; otherwise any student with interest in agronomy may be considered.
Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable vehicle.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions; able to travel within territory.

Responsibilities

Scouting: create reports identifying weeds, insects, diseases, growth stages, stand counts, and anomalies; relay observations to the Ag Tech team.
UAV Flights: perform drone observations, capture imagery, and collect data.
Tissue sampling: collect corn or soybean tissue and prepare for testing.
Soil moisture probing: conduct moisture tests and report results; install moisture monitoring equipment.
Soil sampling: collect soil nitrate samples to monitor in-season nutrients.
Field signs: organize, place, and remove field signs.
100% travel in territory; 75% in fields, 25% in training/events; participate in weekly development activities.
