Job summary

Keystone Cooperative, Inc. is seeking Crop Technician Interns to perform crop diagnostic tasks across the growing season. You will scout fields, collect tissue samples, conduct soil moisture probes, and assist with UAV flights to support timely field decisions.

You will work mostly in the field (75%), with training events and tours accounting for the rest, travel in the territory, and opportunities for professional development. Enrollees in agronomy programs are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Interest in agricultural/agronomy field encouraged for applicants.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods under all weather conditions.
• Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Scouting: create scouting reports identifying weeds, insects, diseases, growth stages, stand counts, and field anomalies.
• UAV Flights: use drones to observe fields, produce imagery, and collect data.
• Tissue Sampling: collect corn or soybean tissue and prepare for testing.
• Soil Moisture Probing: perform soil moisture tests and report data to Ag Tech team.
• Soil Sampling: collect soil nitrate samples for in-season nutrient monitoring.
• Field Signs: organize, place, and remove field signs.
