Job summary

Valley Comprehensive Community Mental Health Center seeks a Mobile Crisis Specialist II to provide crisis intervention and referrals in the community, travel to client sites, and document care in the EMR. This non-exempt, full-time role supports the crisis program during afternoon shifts.

Responsibilities include field work, coordinating with first responders, and ensuring safe, effective service delivery for individuals in crisis within the catchment area.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Human Service Field.
• Excellent communication skills to work as part of a team.
• Ability to document/type into an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain training related to Narcan administration.

Responsibilities

• Greets callers to Valley’s 24-hour Crisis Line during shift with empathy and respect.
• Serve as a personal guide and mentor for individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
• Assist individuals in crisis support and/or referrals.
• Provide crisis intervention and complete required documentation in EMR.
• Build and maintain relationships with first responders and emergency entities.
• Facilitate admissions to private, public, and State Hospitals as necessary.
