Job summary

Reeves Young is seeking a Safety professional to help protect our field teams from coast to coast. You will develop and implement safety policies, conduct training, and lead audits to ensure OSHA and DOT compliance.

Ideal candidates have a relevant degree and CSP/ASP/CHST credentials, 3 years in construction safety, and willingness to travel to job sites. Proficiency with MS Office, Bluebeam, and project software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety or related degree preferred.
• Certification CSP, ASP, GSP, or CHST desired.
• 3 years experience in construction industry, project leadership and/or safety related experience; internship may qualify.
• Travel will be required depending on jobsite locations.
• Willingness to learn and use key safety software tools listed above.
• Instructor-level certifications for safety training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assists, plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations including OSHA and DOT as required.
• Plans and implements training for employees in work site safety practices, rain-day safety training and coordinates any specialized safety training and/or certifications for the employees.
• Performs unannounced/random safety audits and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventative measures where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
• Conducts post-accident investigation and prepares report identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by company personnel and senior management.
