Job summary

YKHC seeks a Community Health Aide/Practitioner to deliver primary and emergency care in village clinics. Role requires relocation to a village, travel for training, and year-round coverage including summers. It may include itinerant work across YKHC villages and potential lead responsibilities.

Proficiency with Word/Email and RPMS/Telehealth is expected. Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED; TABE reading/writing/mathematics at 8th grade level.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required; read, write and perform math at 8th grade level per TABE.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary health care in village clinics, including acute, chronic and preventive care and emergency services.
• Travel to Bethel or other training sites for required trainings.
• Float coverage to additional YKHC villages as assigned.
• May serve as Lead Health Aide when required.
• Attend Health Aide Sessions I–IV to become certified CHP; maintain ETT/EMT certification.
