Job summary

The Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation seeks a Community Health Aide/Practitioner to provide primary, acute and preventive care in village clinics across rural southwest Alaska. The role requires relocation to a village, travel to Bethel for training, and year-round coverage including summers.

You'll work under CHAP policies, use Word, email, RPMS and Telehealth, and may lead as needed. Benefits include generous PTO, holidays, and comprehensive healthcare.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must attend Health Aide sessions and become certified CHP.
• Must be able to travel to Bethel or other training sites for sessions.
• Must agree to CHAP policies and procedures during training and service.
• Must provide year-round coverage, including summers.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary, acute, chronic, and preventive care at village clinics.
• Travel as needed to Bethel and training sites for required sessions.
• Work as Full Time Float CHAPs in itinerant village coverage as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with clients and staff and maintain records.
