Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates is seeking a Category Leadership professional in Charlotte, NC to serve as a trusted growth partner for Grocery retailers. You will deliver fact-based insights, lead category initiatives, and collaborate with Sales to drive growth strategies across Confectionery, Salty Snacks, and Treats categories.

This role requires strong data analysis, syndicated data usage, space management, and planogram development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and capability.
• 2+ years of experience within CPG Sales key accounts, retail, and/or analyst.
• Ability to travel 25-40% of time.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Field-sales, home office experience.
• Drug and background screens completed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Nielsen Scan data experience.
• Knowledge of JDA.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• External selling, negotiation, influencing.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships; co-create with Sales.
• Provide analysis and decisions on category leadership projects.
• Develop Category Insights Reviews and storefront strategies.
• Develop JDA POGs and assortment optimization.
• Analyze data to identify category growth opportunities.
• Support annual customer planning with actionable insights.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities.
