Job summary

Community Counseling Solutions is seeking an AmeriCorps Seniors Project Coordinator (Bilingual Preferred) in Pendleton, OR. This 1 FTE non-exempt role leads volunteer recruitment, outreach, and program operations under the AmeriCorps Seniors framework.

The coordinator will spend significant time in the community, building partnerships, and supporting volunteer stations across the Eastern Oregon service area, with a focus on bilingual proficiency and grant compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to engage confidently with community groups, volunteers, and partner agencies.
• Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.
• Strong organizational skills and diligence.
• Ability to work independently and manage a field-based schedule.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for frequent local travel.

Responsibilities

• Represent the programs in the community by giving presentations, participating in meetings and conferences, and building local partnerships.
• Conduct outreach to recruit senior volunteers and develop new volunteer station relationships.
• Spend more than 50% of work time in the field, attending events, conducting outreach, and supporting volunteer stations.
• Recruit, screen, place, and supervise volunteers to ensure successful assignments.
• Plan and organize volunteer meetings and events, including schedules and agendas.
• Deliver ongoing volunteer training on program objectives, community resources, and advanced learning opportunities.
• Develop and maintain MOUs and ensure appropriate use of technology for program operations.
