Job summary

Arizona State Government’s Department of Economic Security seeks an Agriculture and Foreign Labor Specialist within the Division of Employment and Rehabilitation Services in Phoenix. The role focuses on Foreign Labor Certification across Arizona, including outreach, housing inspections, employer meetings, and program coordination with the U.S.

Department of Labor. Travel is required; two years of Agricultural Foreign Labor experience, Spanish/English proficiency, and E-Verify are essential.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of experience working with Agricultural Foreign Labor.
  • Spanish/English proficiency required; and complete training as specified in 20 CFR 653.107(7).
  • Pre-employment background checks; E-Verify participation required.

Responsibilities

  • Travel and conduct outreach events, housing inspections, field checks, orientations, and employer meetings in areas throughout the state.
  • Travel and conduct Agricultural Prevailing Wage and Practice Surveys to determine common employment practices and wages.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including case notes, to report to the Department of Labor or enforcement agencies.
  • Handle complaints through the Employment Service and Employment-Related Law Complaint System and promote recruitment systems.
  • Support State Monitor Advocate and Foreign Labor Certification Coordinator.
  • Other duties as assigned related to this position.
