Job summary

Henderson Scott US in New York, NY seeks an NYCHA/Affordable Housing Project Manager to support the Project Executive through preconstruction, procurement, construction, and closeout.

You will lead project teams, ensure schedule, budget, and design conformance, develop bidding strategies with PE and VP, review subcontracts, track RFIs, and coordinate logistics with subs and procurement to keep on-site work on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field preferred a must.
• 4+ years with related experience in construction/project management.
• Field-based construction site experience required; knowledge of affordable housing rehab is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Executive (PE) in all assigned projects and task responsibilities from preconstruction to closeout.
• Lead project team with PE to meet budget, schedule and design conformance.
• Develop bidding strategy with PE and VP of Construction; scope, schedule, and bid leveling.
• Coordinate logistics with PMs and superintendents to ensure efficient subcontractor work.
• Review subcontracts and purchase orders with PE prior to issuance; track RFIs and change orders.
