Job summary

Terros Health seeks an ACT Substance Abuse Specialist to join an interdisciplinary ACT clinical team at our Phoenix outpatient clinic. You will work with individuals with Serious Mental Illness or general mental health needs under Court Ordered Treatment, providing community-based substance use services and coordinating with families and agencies.

The role emphasizes Motivational Interviewing, care planning, and flexible scheduling in a 40‑hour week, with field-facing duties and office-based

Qualifications

• GED/High school diploma with 1.5 years behavioral health experience.
• Associates, Bachelor's or Master’s in behavioral health or related field.
• Experience in substance use counseling and understanding of DSM-V is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate on ACT clinical team for assessment and service planning.
• Engage members using Motivational Interviewing techniques.
• Provide community-based services (O7) including assessment and planning.
• Actively recruit new clients for ACT services.
• Assess needs and coordinate transitions to less intensive services.
• Monitor client status during transitions to maintain stability.
• Facilitate individual and group substance use treatment per plan.
• Support recovery planning and service plan development with teams.
