Job summary

Floorplan Xpress is seeking an Account Executive to drive new business development and build a pipeline from scratch in a field-based Chicago role. You will engage decision-makers, prospect aggressively, and close new accounts while traveling within your territory.

The role emphasizes B2B outside sales with a focus on independent dealer and business accounts, including discovery conversations and tailored solutions. Expect a performance-driven environment with uncapped commissions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in B2B outside sales or business development.
• Hunter-style sales with outbound prospecting and pipeline creation.
• Willingness to travel regularly within assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and generate new business through cold calls, cold emails, in-person visits, networking, and social outreach.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified B2B opportunities.
• Identify, pursue, and close new independent dealer and business accounts.
• Conduct discovery conversations and present tailored solutions.
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly new-business sales targets.
• Travel within your assigned territory to meet prospects and attend industry events.
• Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and forecasting data in the CRM.
• Coordinate a professional handoff of new accounts to internal teams after closing.
